Currently, more than 400 Ayurvedic pharmacies are operating in the state, which regularly require medicinal herbs. To connect herb growers and medicine manufacturers, the AYUSH Department, through its medical facilities, will publicize the e-Charak portal developed by the National Medicinal Plants Board among herb growers and medicine manufacturers. Under this, herb-producing farmers and medicine manufacturers from Uttarakhand will register. Medicine manufacturers will be able to submit their medicine-related demands on the portal or purchase displayed herbs. Similarly, herb producers will be able to display their produced herbs for sale on the portal at their desired rates.
This portal will facilitate the purchase and sale of medicines and will financially strengthen the farmers of Uttarakhand. The ease of this portal will inspire more common people to cultivate medicinal herbs."
